How to use WiiRD on Wii ( aka "Gameshark codes" or "Cheat Codes" )


1. You need Wii that have Homebrew installed, link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5NJww6iuQU . This guide use Homebrew version 0.9b.
2. Download GeckoOS : http://code.google.com/p/usbgecko/downloads/list
3. Download USBGecko Code Manager :

4. Pick the game codes you want to use at here :

and download the text files. In this guide, I use RB4E08.txt (Resident Evil 4) WiiRD
5. Open the "codemgr.exe" inside "USBGeckoCodeManager" folder
6. Go to File -> Open TXT File

7. Select the codes you want to use, and click "Export to GCT". After that,"GCT export manager" window will comes out, choose you SD card "Drive letter". After that, click "Store"


8. A window "Wii Cheat Code Manager" will comes out after you stored the cheat codes at your SD card.

9. After that, extract "geckohb9.zip" into apps folder in your SD card. Your SD card should looks like this after you done all the steps.

10. Open your Wii, insert you SD card into your Wii, and start Homebrew Channel.
11. Choose GeckoOS.
12. After you reached GeckoOS screen, choose "Start Games"
13. Wait for confirmation "SD codes found[...]"
14. Enjoy the game (with cheat codes) !! :p

Hoot of the week

Last Saturday made my day Wii-d.

A revolutionary console take its step into my house, and I am very happy about it :D

Above is the picture of my Nintendo Wii (Playstation 2 at the right side of the Wii)

Wii's CPU made by IBM codenamed Broadway, while the GPU made by ATI codenamed Hollywood.

And to show how i appreciate Wii, I hoot one of hot title of Nintendo Wii games


Super Smash Bros : Brawl , one of my favorite game on Wii.
The previous title, Super Smash Bros : Melee was my favorite game on Nintendo Gamecube <3

p/s: Wii Sport also my favorite game on Wii, a real exercise in house yo !
