tahiketahi: Nokia N9 vs Nokia 808 as my daily phone

Today, someone PMed me over http://forum.lowyat.net for my pov of n9 vs 808.

I feel like sharing this information in my blog.

here it goes :

808 pros:

[1] Camera, Video+audio recording, needless to say..top notch.

[2] micro-hdmi out.

[3] handles 720p video no problem. not sure about 1080p video.

[4] Fm transmitter

[5] can add more storage via microSD

[6] Popular games at Store selection better than N9's.

[7] wide range of widget's button preinstalled. Wifi/3G/NFC/PlayTo/Offline/FMTX/etc2

808 cons;

[1] Messaging app notification icon will be buggy once you reached 1.5k++ smses.

[2] Stock browser not as good as N9's stock browser

[3] no ssh

[4] no centralize notification center.

[5] Not as open as N9.

[6] Sync with google's contact not as neat as N9's.

[7] Sharing option not as good as N9.

N9 pros:

[1] Once tried swipe UI, one will never go back.

[2] Customizeable Low-power screen message

[3] very open, I can even edit the VKB to my liking

[4] centralize feed and notification

[5] Mail app better than Nokia Belle's mail app

[6] higher screen resolution than Nokia Belle.

[7] Centralize account for sharing.

N9's cons:

[1] weak GPU performance, you can't watch 720p/1080p video file.

[2] Apps, not as wide as Symbian/android/ios/WP.

[3] no more software updates from Nokia.

[4] no FM transmitter

[5] 8MPx camera.

[6] Most of useful apps in Store are paid app

[7] Weak Wifi receiver strength compared to 808.
